I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
